1-29-13 = 7 months

Another month, another Wyatt update! Wy is doing great, he is growing- learning and thumping his head a lot!! He pulls up on everything and stands for long periods at a time. He loves daddy, is rugged and doesn't cry much even when he really crashes and is starting to smile and laugh a lot more.

He is very curious- will be another boy who gets into everything I think. He goes into the child watch at the YMCA with no trouble, loves big people food, and provides much entertainment for Arlene.
He is up close to 19 lbs, is in 9 month clothes and is cutting back his sleep. If he takes 2 long naps he doesn't sleep well at night, so I try to limit to one short, one long and we get by that way. He loves to eat, but doesn't do well with thin purée. He likes texture and has started to self feed rice and graham crackers. No sign of any teeth, but we are on the lookout!
I can't believe how big he is already!!

3 years

Three years ago Westley was born. It sure doesn't seem like its been that long...

Here he is today, almost 30 pounds, almost 36" tall... A real "little, big" boy!

He does a few classes at the Y, one of which I leave him for. He does well on his own and is starting to show interest in the child care there. He swims with his bubble and has no fear- runs, jumps, climbs... Loves all things with motors- currently the snowmobiles. He still doesn't speak terribly clearly, but he has an awful lot to say! He is a mama's boy, loves me and my attention and can be awfully sweet. He is fully toilet trained during the day but occasionally has an accident at night. He eats pretty well, loves fruit and juice. He has a sweet tooth, and likes to sneak candy from the kid's rooms. He can use a cell, iPad or iPod very well, and will turn on Netflix to watch a show on his own. He loves to read and color, play trucks or dinos and help with whatever you are doing. Wes will sleep over at Grandma and Poppies without a fuss, loves to play with Jayson and enjoys his sibling's attention a lot.

I love this guy so much, I can't imagine life without him. I am so lucky to be his Mom. I can't wait to see what he does in the next year.

Déjà Vu

Recognize this maneuver?

The dishwasher must be the perfect place to practice... I remember Wes there all the time!

For those who are curious, this picture was posted at the end of July 2010. Wes would have been almost exactly the same age as Wyatt is now!

Dino party

Wes will be three on Wednesday. We had his party today, and at his request it was a Dino party.

I made his cake last night at Arlene's. I hope she enjoyed watching me, as always it is fun to see it come to "life". I was remembering back, since I made this cake years ago for Billy.

He got loads of toys and has been playing all afternoon. He got lots of Dino's of course, and a fun remote lightening McQueen. He got trucks and a few games and books. I'm not sure where we are going to put it all since his room is already full from Christmas.

We had a piñata

And cake and ice cream.

I hope he remembers this day- I know he has been looking forward to it. It's so hard to believe it's been 3 years. Time sure flies when you are having fun... And that's one thing Wes has going, he makes everything fun! Happy Dino party my little big boy!

Pulling Up

Wyatt seems to be following in his "little big brother"'s footprints... He is now pulling up!  This all started on Wednesday when I was in the kitchen... Wes had used the step stool to get up onto the counter, Wy was on the floor and I had my back to them both.  I turned around and Wyatt was up on his feet holding the bottom step.  I figured it was a fluke.  But no, Thursday while I was at work Bill said he did it a number of times.  He now can't be trusted, he will hold on and stand up, but then the only way down is to fall....  Dr. Brennan commented on the fact that we have not one, but two who have "advanced motor skills"  honestly, I'm not sure if that is a good or a bad thing!
